by default the first xrdp session handling script looks like this: [xrdp1] name=sesman-vnc lib=libvnc.so username=ask password=ask ip=127.0.0.1 port=-1 The important line is port=-1, this makes xrdp always look for a free port to connect. If you set a fixed port here, the xrdp will always go back and connect to.

6/9/2020 · I got a debian10 running LXDE, xrdp and tigervnc-standalone-server. My goal is to connect to an existing LXDE user- session . I followed this tut here and here..but it doesn’t work for me. With luck I can RDP- connect to the default xorg, but then I got an empty session , but not LXDE.
Choose Local Session on the xrdp menu after connecting with rdp. The password is the vncserver passwd, which you chose, when you followed the c-nergy-link above. If you just want to open another session , you can go for the remote session .
